Tai Young Lee (이태영)

Dr. Tai Young Lee is the founder and chief operating officer of two business companies in Baltimore: PTC International, an international marketing company and the recipient of the Small Business Exporter of the Year Award of the US Small Business Administration in 1998, and International Portfolio Management (IPM), a private wealth management firm. IPM has affiliated offices in Seoul (KIPM) and Hong Kong (AIPM).

Dr. Tai Young Lee holds a Ph.D. in economics and business (Indiana Univ.). Between 1974 and 1985, he was a professor and the chair of the economics and marketing department at Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland. He received additional training at the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania and the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago. His undergraduate degree was from the Law College of Seoul National University in Korea.

Dr. Lee was appointed by Secretary of State Colin Powell in 2003 to the Board of Governors of the East-West Center in Hawaii and served for four years, 2003 thru 2007. He was a member of an Advisory Board of the governor of Maryland, William Schaefer, for five years, 1989 thru 1994.
