Membership

Our membership is open to professional men and women, and also institutions, regardless of their expertise and background, who have operated in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, with a deep interest in Korean-American affairs, sharing a common goal of promoting good relations between the two countries.

However, membership is by invitation only. A potential new member is sponsored by a current member in good standing, who submits a formal letter of nomination to the President with a brief comment on the qualification of the candidate, attaching his or her curriculum vitae and a photo. The President will forward the dossier to the Admissions Committee. When the nomination is approved by the Admissions Committee, the President takes a vote of the members of the Board. When the majority votes “Yes,” the candidate will be officially invited to join the Forum.

There are two categories of membership: regular and institutional.
