YongSang Kim (김용상)

Mr. YongSang Kim, Esq., is a lawyer with a J.D. degree cum laude of Cornell University Law School. He also has degrees from Yonsei University in Seoul Korea (B.A.) and Yale University Divinity School (M. Div.).  He co-heads the International Dispute Resolution Team of the South Korean law firm Yulchon. Mr. YongSang Kim previously worked as co-representative of O’Melveny & Myers’ Seoul office. Mr. YongSang Kim’s practice includes antitrust, anti-corruption, and white-collar criminal defense. He has represented the Republic of Korea in its first treaty-based investor-state dispute before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). Prior to joining O’Melveny, Kim was a counsel at U.S. firm Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer’s Washington D.C. office. He practiced antitrust law and international arbitration in Washington DC for more than ten years before moving to Seoul in 2016. Super Lawyers recognized him as a “Rising Star” for antitrust litigation in 2014 and 2015 and as a “Washington DC Rising Star” in 2016. In addition, he was honored as the Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition Pro Bono Attorney of the Year in 2008. yongsangkim@hotmail.com.
