Her research focuses on comparative literature between East and West, particularly Romanticism and Shakespearean adaptations. She has presented on gender, cultural globalization, and film and theater studies at the Modern Language Association (MLA), American Comparative Literature Association (ACLA), Shakespeare Association of America (SAA), Asian Shakespeare Association (ASA), Renaissance Society of America (RSA), Popular Culture Association \/ American Culture Association (PCA\/ACA) and other venues.<\/p>\n<p>Her most recent article, \u201cBeyond The (K-Pop) Scene: BTS\u2019s Wings and Oscar Wilde\u2019s The Picture of Dorian Gray,\u201d was published in <em>Literature\/Film Quarterly<\/em> (Vol. 53.1, 2025). Her recent publications can also be found in <em>Borrowers and Lenders: The Journal of Shakespeare and Appropriation<\/em> and <em>The Palgrave Encyclopedia of Global Shakespeare<\/em>, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Bishoff was selected as the recipient of the 2025 Korean Honor Scholarship, awarded by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the USA. Her short story, \u201cThe Land of Canaan,\u201d which examines the plight of North Korean refugees, received the Korean Literary Society of Washington\u2019s award in 2023. Her work on this topic was also featured by <em>Radio Free Asia<\/em>. Dedicated to amplifying marginalized voices through storytelling, she has played a pivotal role in broadening perspectives on gender and immigration within comparative studies.
